At Boxhagener Platz, ‚Boxi‘ for short, there is also a popular flea market on Sunday. The Karl-Marx-Allee in the Friedrichshain district is also particularly worth seeing. This was the most famous street of the GDR with numerous blocks of flats from the 50s, which have been preserved until today. The Sunday flea market stroll can be combined particularly well with an extensive brunch in one of the countless caf\u00e9s in Berlin Friedrichshain, many of which are located in the immediate vicinity of Boxhagener Platz. In the Kurhaus Korsakow<\/a> you can eat cake and watch passers-by. The 49 hectare Volkspark Friedrichshain offers an idyllic place for nature lovers in the middle of the city. Spacious meadows and numerous playgrounds for children distinguish the park. The beautiful caf\u00e9 and restaurant ‚Sch\u00f6nbrunn am Ententeich<\/a>‚ and the famous ‚M\u00e4rchenbrunnen‘, which is decorated with stone fairy tale figures, round off the ambience.<\/p>\n
\nImmediately after the fall of the wall it was already painted by several artists. Here you should plan a comfortable walk. Nearby is also the Oberbaumbr\u00fccke, which connects Friedrichshain with Kreuzberg.
