\nIn neighbouring Neuk\u00f6lln, also known as Kreuzk\u00f6lln, the Karstadt department store on Hermannplatz is well worth a visit. This building is also historic and was built in 1929.

\nOn the Kreuzberg mountain, the highest natural elevation in inner-city Berlin, one can find the National Monument to the Liberation Wars.
